Why Neocities ?
Well, so many questions, where to start...let's say I grew tired of consuming media and also of what has become of the internet, everything is being monetized, the mighty algorithm decides what we watch and has the unfortunate effect of narrowing our minds.
So I decided to escape from this Matrix, spending so much time online does look like living in a Matrix, a quote that I like "Libère ton esprit" from Morpheus (Free your mind), everyone also knows "Stop trying to hit me and hit me !" that I would transform into "Stop trying to make your personal website and make it !"
The time has come to stop overthinking and jump into action
Anyway, neocities seems to fill a void I have been feeling for a while : I just happen to miss the old Internet, truth is I have been online since 1998, ah, sure, at the beginning I was not spending so much time online, I knew the internet from before TikTok, before Facebook, before Youtube, before Skyblog, before even Wikipedia was a thing
